A calf-bound Koran script with gold-gilt decorations was recently confirmed as belonging to the Ming dynasty (1368-1644). Donated by an imam from Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, northwest China, the book is believed to be of great value for studies on the history, religion and art of Hui ethnic group. Tags:
