Frieda Birnbaum, a 60-year-old psychologist, gave birth to twin boys by Caesarean section on May 22 at Hackensack University Medical Center of New Jersey, being the America's oldest mother of twins. Birnbaum, underwent in-vitro fertilization last year at a South African clinic that specializes in older women.She and her husband, Ken, a New York City attorney, have been married for 38 years and also have three other children — sons ages 33 and 6 and a daughter, 29.
