Marina Ahmad: the First Malaysian Woman Reaches Mount Everest

Dia Boleh! A datoship is now waiting for her.

Marina Ahmad, 25, an assistant producer with RTM [Malaysia National Railway Co.], became the first Malaysian woman to reach the summit of Mount Everest yesterday.

She was the sole woman in the seven-member Merdeka de Everest 2007 expedition, which set out to conquer the world’s highest mountain standing at 8,848m above sea level.
