American Airlines Sues Google Over Trademark Aadvatange Properties

American Airlines Sues Google over Aadvantage trademark

American Airlines sued Google over the search giant's sale of par-per-click keyword ads for rivals triggered by its own trademarks.

AA filed (PDF) a lawsuit on August 17 in U.S. District Court in Fort Worth, Texas seeking unspecified damages.

A Google visitor who enters certain words or phrases that American trademarked - for example, Aadvantage, the name of its frequent-flier program - will get links to American's Web site but also its rivals under "sponsored links" - targeted ads that appear alongside the regular search results.

However, Google spokesman Jon Murchinson insisted the company is confident that their trademark policy strikes a proper balance between trademark owners' interests and consumer choice, and that their position has been validated by decisions in previous trademark cases, such as a 2005 settle between Google and insurer Geico Inc. Sergey Brin & Anne Wojcicki's Wedding Held on the Private Island Musha Cay of David Copperfield

Earlier this week we got to know that Sergey Brin, the billionaire co-founder of Google has quietly married to Anne Wojcicki in Bahamas, but yet to find where the exact venue was. Ok, now thanks to a post on Page Six of NYPost which revealed that the brainy lovebirds tied the knot on an 150-acre island called Musha Cay which was one of four islands purchased by the world's most famous illusionist David Copperfield for US$50 million in 2006. The rental per week for Muscha Cay is $325,000.

Google's Sergey Brin Married to Anne Wojcicki in Bahamas?

Sergey Brin and Anne Wojcicki From Reliable Source of WP

Sorry, ladies! The world has lost yet another most-eligible bachelor -- perhaps the most eligible bachelor on the planet. We've learned that Sergey Brin , the former Prince Georgian and U-Md. grad who co-founded Google, quietly married his girlfriend, Anne Wojcicki, in the Bahamas last weekend.

Google officials said they cannot comment on their executives' personal lives. But one guest told friends that Brin flew the smallish wedding party down to the islands and that the ceremony itself was held on a sandbar to which guests either had to swim or take a boat.

Wojcicki, a biotech analyst who just started her own company [this one?], is a graduate of Yale in her early 30s. Her sister Susan Wojcicki was an early Google employee who rented [and in 2006 sold] her Menlo Park, Calif., garage to Google.
