The well loved stage play "Orosman and Zafira" will have its 3rd set of screenings and this time around it is at the SM Mall of Asia. Starting this Friday, February 4, 2011, the widely acclaimed play will once again grace us and make us appreciate theater again.

Orosman and Zafira is a story of war, honor and love all wrapped into one. This is a wonderful stage play that combines a great mix of variety. Colorful, wonderful, intense and brilliantly produced. I am raring to get my sights anew with this one great production. Truly poetry in motion.

EQUUS: THE RP VERSION

When one mentions the theatrical play Equus, one can't help but think Daniel Radcliffe and his crowning jewels. Yeah, Mr. Harry Potter himself takes on the lead to this play and took off his clothes, literally showing off everything for art's sake.

Now, under the helm of esteemed theater actor Audie Gemora, Equus made its bow into Philippine shores last July. While it shoot to fame because of the famous nude scene, it's not just that. Based on a rich storyline that borders the somehow disturbing mind of the human being. It circles around the story of Alan Strang, a 17 year-old lad who has been charged with the crime of blinding six horses by gouging out their eyes.

The role was alternately played by Marco Mañalac and Red Concepcion. Both performances were moving and convincing. Equus was truly a revelation and a success.

CATS MEOW

Finally we can hear them meow.

CATS, the Musical is finally here and it is getting rave reviews as it topbills our very own Ms. Lea Salonga. Lea stars as Grizabella, the main "cat" in this musical. CATS boasts an impressive international cast of 53 people including cast, crew and a live band.

This musical is based on the novel by T.S Eliot which was published from 1939. It was adapted into theater by maestro Andrew Lloyd Webber. CATS tells the tale of a tribe of Jellicle CATS as they gather together for the annual Jellicle Ball. They each tell their stories for the entertainment of Old Deuteronomy who must choose one of the CATS to journey to the Heavyside Layer to be "reborn" into a new life.
