March Boedihardjo (沈诗钧, Shen Shi-jun), a 9-year-old maths prodigy, has been admitted to the Hong Kong Baptist University, being the youngest university student in Hong Kong. He will , will be studying for a bachelor's degree and master's degree in a five-year course specially designed by the university.
March Boedihardjo, an Indonesian Chinese born boy was raised in Hong Kong. He together with father Tony Boedihardjowent to UK to accompany his elder brother who is studying in Oxford in 2005. In UK, March, of special interests in mathematics and advanced mathematics, had studied for two years at a special school and passed numerous examinations required to admit to a university.
He said that he chose to study in a Hong Kong university instead it UK counterparts because "his father does not have sufficient money."
