MARVEL VS. CAPCOM 3: FATE OF TWO WORLDS ROCK

Yup, I have been a fan of the games from its first edition and up to the latest - Marvel Vs. Capcom 3. This edition is something I really enjoy but there were some characters that I miss that I think should have been there. (Cable, Psylocke, Strider Hiryu, Iceman, Gambit, Rogue, Captain Commando and Venom) And man though 36 selectable characters is decent, the 56 to choose from in Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 is something that is to be missed. There were some odd choices as well in this edition of the game. For me Arthur, Amaterasu, Viewtiful Joe and Hsien Ko should have been left off.

The gaming experience was much like the 2nd edition in terms of gamplay. And it was sure a wonderful addition to the growing fighting games collection. Graphics were intense so much more with the combos of each characters. Visuals were just hot and one could really be enjoying the entire day with their joysticks.

As for me, I have enjoyed using the girl characters more as I find them more agile and quick. And here are the characters I usually use.

PREPARE TO BE WIPED OUT

Just when you thought it ends in the small screen as a reality game show, then you got it wrong. One of the funniest reality shows in TV has made its arrival to the game console. And what better platform but the Nintendo Wii.

Wipeout: The Game stays true to the show's concept where one has to survive the dangers and obstacles of the wipe-out zone. Each player's goal is to reach the end zone and finally be declared the wipeout champion. You'll see familiar obstacles from the TV show such as the Big Balls, Sucker Punch and the ever famous Sweeper. You can customize your character just as other games do - built, body frame, color, gender. Then once done, your character would go through the Wipeout obstacle course. Your goal is to control the balance, direction, and timing or at least try to and attempt to finish the obstacles faster than your opponents. As in the TV series, obstacles are divided into 2 - one you complete by yourself and one where you and the others compete altogether.

For better playing experience, it is recommended that you have at least 4 Wii remotes so you can slug it out with your friends.

STARCRAFT 2: WINGS OF LIBERTY

Gamers, brace yourselves.

After more than a decade, here comes the second installment of the hit Starcraft game. Aptly titled, Wings of Liberty, the new Starcraft finally arrives and sets its wings aflight. Wings of Liberty takes off from where the first game ended. Your job is to lead your troop against the Terran Dominion bad guys. Starcraft 2, like its predecessor remains true to its core concept - a chess-like startegic battle minus the boring chess pieces. You can still choose from the 3 species present on the first Starcraft in fighting against your friends. Staying true to the military sci-fi theme, the 2nd installment adds new features as well to keep gamers glued on their PCs. These include new unit types, new legions and various combat fields to fight at.

While gamers and critics are divided as to the greatness of this game, it's up to you to decide whether this is a winner. As for me, I think the long wait is finally over. If I were you, I won't miss this one.
