MY CHRISTMAS WISH THIS YEAR: A NOKIA C7

Every Christmas Day is very special for us Filipinos. It is a time for fun, gift-giving, merry making, pictures and a whole lot more - in short celebration. And while we are on the spirit of celebration, a good way for me to finish the year on a high note is have a new phone as a Christmas present (after all, I am using an old Nokia unit).  And my Christmas wish this year?  - a Nokia C7.

Why do i need a Nokia C7? I find interest in almost all things from politics, music, travel and pictures. And the Nokia C7 is one hot item that can do relatively all of the stuff I am into. Like my blog as well, Nokia C7 is a catch-all phone. Aside from the normal texts and calls which I do to a whole bunch of people I love so dearly, I can do other things with it. Take for example the 8 megapixels camera which can capture all the moments of my life from travels, simple headshots and pics of my family and friends. Its cam alone could parallel that of digicams in the market. If proof is needed for my love of pictures, just visit my Facebook account and you'll see. And since I love to interact socially, it is a big plus for the C7 to be able to connect to social networking sites like Twitter and Facebook. Now, everyone would know where I am and what I have been doing. (artista?) And wow, the 8GB internal memory which can be supplemented by a microSD of up to 32 GB is just so much to put in my favorite songs and videos. And of course its sleek design is pretty much like me, sleek, fashionable and just amazingly nice. Now, who would not want a gadget like that?

Okay, I don't want to sound desperate but a C7 as a Christmas gift would really be wonderful. I hope Santa Nuffnang would hear my wish. =)

SOCIAL NETWORKS: SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

In this fast paced world we are in today, Social Networking sites are forming a big part of our daily lives. There's Facebook, Twitter, Myspace, Friendster, Blogger. Wordpress, Multiply and a whole lot of other networking sites. Often times we turn to these sites to share emotions much like an online diary. We also do stuff here like announcements of reunions, events or anything under the sun. Some also use to join contest, promote sites and even sell products. While for most, these sites serve as a way to gain more friends, acquaintances and networks.

But while this is becoming a regular thing for us, we should always think that what we post reflects who we are. We should be held responsible for the things we utter and things we tell since what we type in and post is gonna be seen not just by our friends but the entire Philippines and even the whole world. Take for example the mistweet of "Tim Yap" on the lotto winner just few days back. A wrong post or misinformed tweet could lead to a chaotic life for those who will be affected. We should know what to post and which ones not.

I WANNA WIN NOKIA C7. HOW ABOUT YOU?

I am so much in love with the new Nokia C7 phone. And when I saw the promo in Facebook with regards a give-away of these phones, I said, "Why not try?" The challenge is actually a tough one as I need to best several hundreds or maybe thousands of people to get a chance to have the Nokia C7 - not just for me but to 20 of my friends as well. That's right! A total of 21 Nokia C7 phones and a party give-away to top it with.

With this, I would need your votes for me to have those wonderful Nokia C7 phones. Just treat this as your Christmas gift to your friendly blogger, Bluecloud. And since they're giving away 21 units of C7, I figures to share some to my avid viewers, followers and other people. You can vote only one per person and once done your votes can be seen on the dashboard of the person you voted for. If I win, I'll be giving out 3 (three) Nokia C7 units as form of my appreciation to those who helped.

So what are you waiting for? Vote for me now!

SONY AT MOA

Sony's booth at the SM Mall Of Asia is truly making lots of noises. It attracts a lot of people from all ages as it features the latest versions of Sony's endless gadgets. There are the digicams, the DSLRs, the Sony Vaio Laptops, Bravia, component and home entertainment systems.

But the products that were surely grabbing a lot of attention are the Sony Playstation diplays. There are areas designated to showcase new PSP games and gaming experience. People get to try their 3D Gaming via Grand Turismo 5. It was a nice try as you get to see the street track of Grand Turismo in big screen TV while driving like a true blue racer.

Another one that really made it nice time at the Sony Booth is the new Sony Move intended for PS3. Though Sony Move is more like Wii's controllers it is still a nice welcome as you can play some non-kid games in PS3. Unlike Wii which is more intended for kids and sports stuff, teens would be enjoying Sony Move as it has some sword fighting titles that you can play.

THE NEW MACBOOK AIR

Light yet packed with a lot of stuff!

Multi-touch trackpad. Well just play around the trackpad and you can have clicking your way easy as 1,2,3. You can do the traditional clicks, drags and could make new ones useful like dashing, pinching and rotating.

Battery lasts for 5-7 hours. That's considerably long in comparison with other brands. Meaning you can wacth 2-3 movies in it or do almost a day of work at the office without minding the battery.

Connectivity. As easy as blinking your eye, you can connect with wi-fi or bluetooth and share info with other people in the net.

And price for this beauty will start from PHP 51,990

WELCOME NOKIA N8

The past few months have seen no stunning new phones from Nokia. Odd but true. We all know that it is normal for Nokia to launch new phones one after the other. But hey, they seem to be cooking something big and yes they are. Welcome Nokia N8.

The newest smartphone and an addition to their strong N series phones, N8 packs with a punch. I would like to have this in my hand one time. It has features that would certainly make you gaga. Starting off with its 12 megapixels camera that is equipped with Carl Zeiss optics and xenon flash. It definitely can stand its ground on the other digicams in the market. The huge touch screen makes you ogle and beg for more. Gonna save a lot as by the looks of it this won't come cheap. Aside from this, HD recording is also suppoted and it can be done with full Dolby surround sound. Need I say more?

Well, with such features it needs to have a big capacity and yes it does have one. How about a built-in 16 GB memory that is expandable up to 48 GB, parallel and even surpassing Iphone. Take that Apple. And since there's a lot you can save you won't be disappointed of having a quick time for your battery. It can pack a solid 50 hours of music playback straight. Whoah. That's sound trip.

And aside from these wonderful features, N8 is something of a beauty. It comes in 5 different colors all in aluminium design - Dark Grey, Silver White, Green, Blue and Orange. Too good to be true? No, it's simply Nokia N8.

SWITCH TO TOUCH: SAMSUNG CHAMP

In an age where phones have become more of a necessity and not just luxury, it still pays to get a phone that is both in and functional. And yes, Samsung continues to give us that. And so the birth of Samsung Champ.

Truly a champion in its own right. It is one of the lowest touch screens in the market. For one techie stuff, it is really cheap at less than PHP 5000. But is the touch screen feature its only strength? Nah. It definitely has more. Coming in four colors of Deep Black, White, Sweet Pink and Espresso Brown, it shows a different level of chic and sophistication that all age groups would enjoy - may you be teens, gen-x or professionals. With its compact size, it has in it a whole lot of features. For those who want a quick shot of everything, anytime, you can rely on its 1.3 MP camera with 4 x digital zoom. For music lovers, aside form its wireless FM radio, you can save some tracks with its expandable memory of up to 8 GB. And what makes it more fun is the way you can connect with the rest of the world. It's Bluetooth 2.1 and USB 2.0 is a definite plus. And least we forget, you can upload photos to 7 social networking services - Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, Photobucket, Picasa, Flickr and Friendster. Need I say more?

For those who are on a bit of tight budget but wants something both fashionable and functional, the Champ is the one for you. So what are you waiting for? Care to switch to touch?

A LOOK AT SAMSUNG GALAXY S

So you think you had enough of the ongoing wars between smartphones. Well, wait till you see Samsung Galaxy S. Obscurely designed in a way it almost resembles the Iphone, Samsung generated much buzz when they released this new hottie. Indeed it can go toe to toe with the Apple's big kahuna.

What's in the Galaxy S that woulc convince one to garb it for keeps? It rewrites the book on multi-media immersion. Blasting toward the forefront of its features is its oversized 4.0" SUPER AMOLED display. Truly one will enjoy all the videos in high quality and ever so wonderful clarity. Its 16 GB memory + microSD lets you download nearly unlimited applications for your enjoyment and mobile entertainment. What's more to it is the Galaxy S HD video recorder which lets you capture videos in the highest quality ever. Coupled with a 5.0 megapixel camera and you'll really capture each moment anytime, anywhere. Its music player with Sound Alive lets you enjoy songs and dance to the grooves. Its social hub features which integrates all SNS (Facebook, Twitter and MySpace) is also a catch-on. And who could forget the 1GHz CPU capacity?

So if you're one of those anti-Iphone peeps out there and desperately wants a new smartphone, the Galaxy S is one you should give a try.
