A Magellanic penguin whose native habitat is the Strait of Magellan region of Chile, stunned scientists by showing up in Peru's Paracas national reserve, where is some 5 000km away from its home in southern Chile.As the solitary Magellanic penguin may not be accepted by native Humboldt penguins in Peruvian reserve, the wingless bird who suffers only a small wound on its wing during its miraculously long journey will probably be sent back to Chile.
